’Tis the season of all of our favorite things — food, fun, and festivities!✨Last week, we headed over to @columbia’s Manhattanville campus and sat down with @charlespanfriedchicken’s own Chef Quie Slobert for a cooking demo and tasting as part of The Forum’s Culture on the Corner event series.📌
Chef Quie shared with us his recipe book titled “Potato Chips and Caviar,” an ode to his childhood and a breakdown of ingredients needed to cook up some popular sweet and savory eats. Chef Quie spoke about his passions, inspirations, and how his connection to food came from the realities of his life and the environment around him. He also brought along Chef Charles Gabriel, the James Beard-nominated Harlem icon and founder of Charles Pan Friend Chicken, who showed us how to properly prep a whole chicken alongside more fun conversation!📢
