Riverside Book Club

On Saturday, March 9, at 11:00AM – 12:30PM, the Riverside Book Club and the African Fellowship will discuss gender, as it relates to women and girls in Nigeria. The distinguished panelists include Dr. Abosede George, author of Making Modern Girls: A History of Girlhood, Labor and Social Development in Colonial Lagos, and Drs. Mojoubaolu Okome and Funmi Para-Mallam, authors of chapters in Gender and Development in Nigeria: Concepts, Issues and Strategies. Moderating the discussion will be Yemi Abioye, Vice Chair of The Riverside Church African Fellowship. The discussion will take place on Zoom.

Copies of the above books are available in e-book format as well as paperback, and in local libraries.
