Indigenous Central Park Tour
Before the arrival of Europeans, the land that became Central Park was part of a rich indigenous ecosystem that the Lenape people still call home today. Join us as we uncover the vestiges of their presence in the Park’s wooded north end. Through the exploration of native flora and fauna, we’ll reference contemporary indigenous research and discuss how these native communities (including descendants of the Lenape) sustain and nourish their connections to their ancestral homeland today.
