Shirley Chisholm: Unbossed & Unbowed, A One-Woman Show by Ingrid Griffith
Join us for an immersive, interactive solo performance that tells the inspiring story of Shirley Chisholm, the first African-American woman elected to Congress and the first to run for the presidency of the U.S. Actress and playwright Ingrid Griffith brings to life 15 different characters, tracing Chisholm’s journey from her childhood in Barbados to her impactful career in politics and activism.
This performance is presented in conjunction with our exhibition, Changing the Face of Democracy: Shirley Chisholm at 100.
