Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper
Join us on Shrove Tuesday — also known as “Pancake Day” — for a traditional pancake supper! Enjoy a delicious meal of pancakes, bacon, sausage, juice, and coffee as we bid farewell to Shrovetide and prepare to enter into Lent.
This tradition dates back to a time when the consumption of rich foods such as eggs, milk, and butter, were historically discouraged during Lent. Pancakes became a popular way to use up these ingredients, as they were easy to prepare and helped clear out the pantry before the period of fasting.
The deadline to RSVP for the Pancake Supper is 5PM on Monday, March 3.
