Breaking Bread Together: An Interfaith Iftar
Join us on Wednesday, March 19, at 6:30 PM in Assembly Hall at Riverside Church for a meaningful evening of connection, reflection, and shared tradition. We will gather with our Muslim friends from Peace Islands NY to share an iftar meal during the sacred month of Ramadan.
Ramadan is a time of deep spiritual devotion, self-reflection, and generosity. From dawn to dusk, Muslims fast as an act of faith and discipline, and at sunset, they break their fast in a communal meal—iftar—symbolizing gratitude, togetherness, and renewal.
This gathering is more than just a meal; it is an opportunity to foster understanding, strengthen bonds across faiths, and celebrate the values of compassion and hospitality that unite us all. We will hear reflections on the meaning of Ramadan, share in a moment of prayer, and enjoy a warm evening of friendship and conversation.
Feel free to donate what you can to help support the Education Ministry in providing more for our community.
We look forward to sharing this special evening with you!
