Justice Across Borders: Migrants, Workers, and Human Rights
Over the last two decades, Justice in Motion (JiM) has developed an innovative model of international collaboration on employment, civil rights, and immigration cases. Their network of Mexican- and Central-American- based human rights defenders was also instrumental in reuniting families separated during Trump’s “zero tolerance” border policy. Join JiM defenders Mayela Blanco (San Luis Potosí, Mexico) and Waldemar Barrera (Zacapa, Guatemala), in conversation with Yadira Huerta, JiM’s Defender Network Director, to discuss their work protecting workers’ rights, reuniting families, and seeking to secure justice for those who move across borders.
