oin us for a fun night of cumbia in collaboration with SOL, the Chicanx Caucus, and ILAS! This event will feature a beginner friendly cumbia lesson and dancing. Agua de jamaica and horchata will be served! You do not have to come with a partner to enjoy this event, there will be time dedicated to making sure everyone is paired up!

A note from the instructor, Gerardo: “My class is very beginner friendly because I want people who are new to cumbia to be able to grasp the concept. My classroom is a lgbt friendly space. I want everyone to feel comfortable and be able to partake in the instructional class. We start off with very basic steps but, if I see that I have a more advanced group, I incorporate more advanced spins. At the end, we get free time to dance!”

This event is geared toward students, but any CUID holder is welcome to register.
