Join us for a Cosmic Walk in South Hall at 12:30 PM. This reflective experience invites you to walk at your own pace and in your own time, offering a moment to connect with the story of the universe, honor our planet, and deepen your sense of gratitude for creation. Let’s come together in community to celebrate the beauty and wonder of our world. We hope to see you there!
Experience the transformative Cosmic Walk, a unique and reflective journey inspired by the teachings of Dominican Sr. Miriam MacGillis and the wisdom of scholar Thomas Berry. This ritual invites participants to walk through the 14-billion-year history of the universe, from the Big Bang to the present.
As you follow a 140-foot spiral path, you’ll pause at key points marked by electric candles and informative signs, each highlighting a significant moment in the universe’s evolution. This moving experience will take place right after the Sunday service and is designed to bring an awareness of the cosmos from our heads into our hearts. It often includes a reading from the Gospel of John, Chapter 1.
