Attendance is VIA ZOOM OR IN PERSON: 722 West 168th Street, Rosenfield Building, Room 532

About our speaker’s work: Motivated by her experience working for the Mexican Ministry of Health, Dr. Porteny became a health policy scholar and applied ethicist whose research aims to better understand the health needs and experiences of vulnerable populations to advance fairer patient treatment, allocation and access to health resources. Addressing the needs of aging immigrant populations is a primary focus. Her goal is to contribute to an evidence-base used to implement inclusive health policies and healthcare best practices that mitigate unjust disparities.
