CBS Alumni Shaping the Future of Social Enterprise
Join us for a live event and taping with Professor Ray Horton, founder of the Social Enterprise Program (today’s Tamer Institute for Social Enterprise and Climate Change), director Sandi Wright, and the groundbreaking social enterprise leaders featured in this season’s More MPE podcast series for a discussion on lessons from successful careers in social enterprise.
Over the last three decades, thousands of Columbia Business School students have taken part in courses and extracurriculars through the Tamer Institute, many starting with the elective Modern Political Economy. The class seeks to equip students with the tools to both understand and shape ever-evolving global economic systems. Last year, we took this mission outside of the classroom through the More MPE podcast, where host Professor Ray Horton and Columbia Business School faculty discussed some of the most current and controversial issues that affect business, government, and society.
This season, Ray and Sandi returned with new, pressing, and insightful conversations, with CBS alumni who pursued extraordinary careers in fields ranging from impact investing to social services to the circular economy, and so much more. These inspiring leaders are making a profound impact in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors not just in New York City, but across the country and around the globe.
In this special event, for the final episode of the season, Ray and Sandi will be joined by these impressive alumni for a discussion and reception where current, future, and former CBS students can learn from their careers, hear their thoughts about the future, and network with mission-driven alumni, professors, and peers.
