Celebration of Blackness: Curtain Call to Glory

Celebrate Black Excellence at “Curtain Call to Glory”, a powerful showcase honoring the impact of Black artists who have shaped and inspired generations. This multi-disciplinary collection of performances features HSA students from dance, music, theater, and visual arts, each paying tribute to the iconic creators who paved the way. Artists vary from Maya Angelou, Whitney Houston, Quincy Jones, Chadwick Boseman, and more!

Join us, for an evening of community, celebration, and support for the arts.

HSA invites you to a special Black History Month post-event reception, in our historic Dorothy Maynor Hall.

Event Details:

  • Reception: Enjoy complimentary food and drinks catered by a selection of Harlem’s acclaimed Black-owned restaurants.
  • Panel Discussion: A groundbreaking and dynamic panel discussion featuring our visionary Arts Department Directors to be moderated by Gloria Harrison-Hall, Co-Executive Producer of NBC’s Karamo Show.
  • Raffle: Each raffle ticket purchased automatically enters you into our raffle, for a chance to win prizes generously donated by Harlem Area Black-owned businesses. Raffle tickets are $5 each.
  • Support the Arts: Your entry ticket and any additional donations will directly support HSA and our mission to provide low-cost, high-quality arts programming to the people of Harlem and beyond.
