Dinner Church: Stories from the Freedom Ride
You are invited to gather around the table for Dinner Church, a meal shared in worship and community. This month, we will hear powerful reflections from participants of the Freedom Ride for Immigrant Rights and in Defense of Democratic Rights.
Over the summer, our church partnered with The Interfaith Center, IFCO/Pastors for Peace, and The People’s Forumon this historic journey. The Freedom Ride began at the Delaney Hall Detention Center in New Jersey, traveled through cities in the Southeast, and concluded with an interfaith vigil at LaSalle Detention Center in Jena, Louisiana. Along the way, riders bore witness to escalating attacks on immigrant and marginalized communities and carried a message of solidarity, hope, and resistance.
Join us to break bread together and be inspired by stories of courage, faith, and the fight for freedom.
Please register by Monday, September 22 so we have an accurate headcount for dinner.
