Education: Cost vs. Benefit

Session 4 of the Museum Finance Academy (MFA) at NYPL, a FREE four-session personal finance course for high school and college-age students with the goal of teaching teens to aspire to financial independence through developing an appreciation for savings, establishing financial goals, and learning to avoid scams. This course requires No prior knowledge of finance, business, or economics.

In this final session,Linda Rapacki delves into the cost of education, the impact post-secondary degrees can have on income, life cycle expenses, discretionary vs. non-discretionary spending, and how to achieve work/life balance.

All sessions are run in partnership with the Museum of American Finance (MoAF) and the New York Public Library’s Thomas Yoseloff Business Center.
