Film Screening: The Space Race, presented by The Bridge Lab

The Forum is pleased to host The Bridge Lab screening of The Space Race, the 2023 National Geographic Documentary Film from directors Lisa Cortés and Diego Hurtado de Mendoza.

The film screening will be followed by a conversation and Q&A with: Lisa Cortés (director), Shawn Johnson (executive producer), and Karen Greenfield (SVP, Inclusive Content & Engagement, National Geographic), moderated by William Keys, Co-Founder, The Bridge Lab.

The Space Race profiles the experiences of the first Black astronauts. Featuring candid interviews from Ed DwightGuion BlufordCharles Bolden, and Victor Glover, the documentary spotlights the oft-omitted racial injustice narratives and present-day realities of these pioneers.

The mission of The Bridge Lab is to educate, train and negotiate job placements and mentor youth into entry level jobs in the entertainment industry and through their careers. Therefore, they prioritize youth and young adults attendees from ages 14 to 25 for free admittance.
