Films at The Forum: WILD LIFE
The Forum is pleased to present Films at The Forum, our latest public program bringing free movie screenings to The Forum on a monthly basis. This October, The Forum and Columbia Climate School are partnering to present WILD LIFE, the 2023 National Geographic Documentary Film from Oscar-winning filmmakers Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin.
The film screening will be followed by a discussion with Chai Vasarhelyi, moderated by Tracy J. Wholf. Tracy Wholf is a senior coordinating producer of climate and environmental coverage for CBS News and Stations, based in New York. She manages and produces content for all CBS News national platforms and supports CBS stations across the country.
WILD LIFE follows conservationist Kris Tompkins on an epic, decades-spanning love story as wild as the landscapes she dedicated her life to protecting. After falling in love in mid-life, Kris and the outdoorsman and entrepreneur Doug Tompkins left behind the world of the massively successful outdoor brands they’d helped pioneer — Patagonia, The North Face, and Esprit — and turned their attention to a visionary effort to create National Parks throughout Chile and Argentina. WILD LIFE chronicles the highs and lows of their journey to effect the largest private land donation in history.
