Would you like to read the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) in the original but do not know the Hebrew alphabet? In eight live online sessions, you will learn each of the consonants and vowels, as well as many of the special circumstances that affect pronunciation. The course will introduce you to a variety of resources to aid your progress, including Accordance Bible Software, Dr. David Moster’s Tanakh Cards, MP3 recordings, and YouTube videos.* Each session will consist of an instructor-led lesson as well as in-class reading exercises designed to build your skills and support your self-study. You will be encouraged to complete a weekly reading assignment outside of class.
Upon completion of this course, you will be ready to enroll in Biblical Hebrew I: Jumpstart Your Biblical Hebrew.
Recordings will be available for those unable to attend a session. Space is limited.
