Born and raised in Harlem, vocalist Annette St. John grew up in an artistic family that influenced her musical style: equal parts jazz, blues, standards and gospel. She has worked with greats like Jimmy Smith, Della Griffin, and George Benson, and performed all over Manhattan, including at the Apollo, the Blue Note, the Village Vanguard, Smoke and The Cotton Club. In recent years she has done multiple tours of Japan, and she is a mainstay in NYC with her own groups. Annette always says, “It’s Not Work If You Love What You Do!”
