This month we feature the “Jazz Greats” who will introduce the Jazzmobile SJW|Saturday Jazz Workshop, Award Winning Students from THE CELIA CRUZ BRONX HIGH SCHOOL OF MUSIC!
You will be blown away by the expert playing of these jazz greats and legends and the accomplished young musicians in the youth bands!

ABOUT SATURDAY JAZZ WORKSHOP
Jazzmobile’s Saturday Jazz Workshops started in 1969. The sessions brought aspiring artists together with Jazz masters like Dr. Billy Taylor and Cecil Bridgewater and other talented performers in a supportive learning environment. SJW has attracted more than 8,000 students of all ages since it began. Many of our graduates have gone on to successful music careers.
The program is currently located at The Celia Cruz Bronx High School of Music.
Students develop their technical and performing skills in:
- harmony and theory
- reading proficiency
- composition
- instrument technique development
- ensemble and improvisational playing
