The Forum, located on the corner of 125th Street and Broadway, is a unique community gathering space that serves as the gateway to Columbia University's developing Manhattanville campus. Open to the entire university as well as the local New York City community, The Forum is a multi-use venue that houses a state-of-the-art auditorium, meeting and event spaces, and communal work areas.

Manhattanville Community Day 2024: Film Screenings at The Forum

Join us on the Manhattanville campus on June 8, 2024, for a free fun-filled celebration of community! Immerse yourself in the arts through youth programming, indulge in Uptown cuisine with local vendors, have fun with science activities—plus so much more.

At The Forum, various community organizations from across the neighborhood will be onsite with activities, useful information, and giveways. The Forum will also host two film screenings: one at 12:30pm, and the other at 2pm.

12:30 PM: Born To Be Wild (2011) – 40 min

  • Register for the 12:30pm screening here
  • This heartwarming film documents orphaned orangutans and elephants and the extraordinary people who rescue and raise them-saving endangered species one life at a time.

2:00 PM: Oceans (2009) – 84 min

  • Register for the 2:00pm screening here
  • Narrated by Pierce Brosnan, this nature documentary examines underwater life-forms across the globe using state-of-the-art equipment. Directed by Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud.

Film screenings are free and open to the public. Advance registration encouraged.
