Music Monday & Films at The Forum: Summer of Soul + Workshop

Save the date for a special “Music Monday” meets “Films at The Forum” summer event!

Join us on Monday, June 17 at 7:30pm for a screening of the 2021 Oscar-nominated documentary, Summer of Soul.

Part music film, part historical record, Summer of Soul documents the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival, which took place over the course of six weeks in Harlem’s Mount Morris Park (now Marcus Garvey Park). The footage was largely forgotten–until recently revived as part of this Questlove-produced film.

Music Monday is a free monthly concert series hosted by The Forum in our ground-floor Atrium. Our Films at The Forum program brings free movie screenings to The Forum throughout the year.

A hands-on percusison workshop will precede the film screening. Details forthcoming.

Please register in advance. Seating will be available on a first-come, first served basis until capacity is reached.
