Em returns home wearing an eyepatch to find her stepsister has joined a cult. Wylie’s been skinning wild animals in the California high desert, and a mysterious figure is on the loose again. In a surreal version of Los Angeles in late spring, a group of young people are forced to contend with their inability to tell the truth while embracing their nostalgic obsession with the LA literary arts scene of the 90s.

When advance registration for a performance has closed, tickets are often still available at the door. A standby list will be started in-person at the box office beginning one hour before the performance.

About the Playwright

Lillian Mottern is 23-year-old playwright from the Eastside of Los Angeles. Her plays have been produced at the Chain Theater, North Hollywood Actors’ Studio, Pasadena City College, and Columbia University. When she is not writing plays she dabbles in prose and essay-writing. Her work can be found in Waif Magazine, Wigleaf, Westwind, and The Foundationalist. She writes about the desert, the end of Western civilization, and trains.
