Population Health and Migration in a Changing Climate

Dr. Thoai Ngo, Chair of the Heilbrunn Department of Population and Family Health at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, will sit down with Dr. Brian Thiede, Associate Professor at The Pennsylvania State University for our first session of PopTalks.

Climate change is having widespread impacts on social and environmental systems, with significant implications for human population dynamics and health. This PopTalks will explore:

  • The links between climate exposures, child health, and human migration
  • How vulnerable populations are impacted by climate change
  • Opportunities for future research and interventions to mitigate future impacts

Non CU-ID holders may attend virtually only
