The Debate Remix Workshop
Join us on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 10 AM to 3 PM in 9T for The Debate Remix Workshop, a groundbreaking academic and socially conscious session that blends debate education, spoken word poetry, and theater to explore global social, racial, and economic justice issues.
This innovative workshop creates an inclusive space for students, scholars, educators, and community members to critically engage with pressing societal issues while fostering personal growth and social change. Participants will take part in debate-centered educational sessions in the morning to build foundational skills, followed by mock debate rounds in the afternoon.
Led by award-winning educators from the National and New York City Urban Debate League’s Columbia Secondary School Debate program, this workshop welcomes participants with no prior debate experience.
This free event is open to high school students (grade 9 and up) and interested adults. Free lunch will be provided for registered participants.
