The Lab: Spring 2025 Semester Gathering – February 6
The Lab is an Islam and Muslim centered space for exploring and integrating intellectual, spiritual, aesthetic, and community related topics. Each gathering of The Lab has a general theme. Attendees are invited to informally share projects, research, art, questions, and reflections related to the theme. Attendees are also invited to listen and be present without sharing.
Intra-Muslim diversity is recognized and engaged in The Lab. While all community members are welcome, The Lab is an Islam and Muslim centered space.
The Lab is organized by the Islam, Social Justice, and Interreligious Engagement Program (ISJIE) at Union Theological Seminary.
Date: February 6
Time: 4:30 – 6:00 PM
Theme: Grief and Healing in Muslim Contexts (This theme is an extension of student work in the Fall 2024 course The Qur’an: Engaging a Sacred Text.)
