
Works in Public: Letters from Luna
This Works in Public event held in partnership with the Art Students League of New York begins with an immersive space show led by Dr. James Hedberg, that will take you around the solar system and beyond, with a particular focus on our nearest celestial neighbor, the Moon. After the show, please join artist Malin Abrahamsson for a walk over to Riverside Park at 148th Street, where she will give a brief talk about her large-scale sculpture Moonfinder that is currently on view in the park.
Planetarium Show from 3 – 4pm
Artist Talk at 145th Street from 4:30 – 5pm
The Planetarium is located in the Marshak Science Building on the City College Campus. Since it is a college building, visitors will need to show an official ID to enter the building at 275 St. Nicholas Terrace. Access to the 145th Street lawn via Riverbank State Park is currently closed. Guests should enter the Park at 148th Street and Riverside Drive, or via the Denny Farrell Pedestrian Bridge at 151st Street (accessible).
