Workshop: Let Me Think About It, with Carina Maye

Please join Myers 2024 commissioned art awardee Carina Maye for a workshop on reflection, storytelling, and abstraction that builds upon her current exhibit, Let Me Think About It, on display in the Offit Gallery through October 20th. Each tapestry, made with felt upon a velvet cloth explores one of five central themes: Delight, Love, Gather, Dream, and Rise.

In this workshop, Carina Maye will guide participants in approaches to learning through memories and personal narratives when one must relinquish control of their stories to be consumed by the public. Guests will explore felting to create a fabric or artwork as a means of storytelling inspired by their memories and personal narratives.
