Shop & Groove Harlem

Calling all Harlem trendsetters and supporters of small businesses! Mark your calendars for Shop & Groove Harlem, a vibrant pop-up market and live music experience taking place on Sunday, April 28th, from 12 PM to 6 PM at the Dwyer Cultural Center.

This inaugural event, spearheaded by local entrepreneur Tara Laurent (Tara Laurent Home & Grind Life Balance), aims to empower and showcase the talents of BIPOC and women-owned businesses in Harlem.

Shop & Groove Harlem promises a fun-filled day with:
• A curated selection of vendors: Discover a diverse range of local businesses offering everything from delicious food and unique home décor to eye-catching jewelry and beauty products.
• Live music: Immerse yourself in the soulful sounds of Jared Wayne Gladly. Jared is a Houston-born, Harlem based artist known for his gifts as an actor, singer, host, and voice-over talent. He has captivated audiences from the Apollo Theater (Dreamgirls) to Broadway (Disney’s Aladdin). Deeply committed to community engagement, Jared has partnered with local initiatives centering black and brown expression including the Soapbox Presents and Harlem Late Night Jazz. Follow the journey on Instagram: @jaredwaynegladly or visit
• Supportive community: Connect with fellow Harlem residents and celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit of the neighborhood.

“Shop & Groove Harlem is more than just shopping – it’s about celebrating the heart and soul of Harlem,” says Tara Laurent.
